Yes. I know it's early, but I wanted to get the marketing drive kicked off.

Every year since 2005, we've been running a Peel-homaging end-of-year poll on our favourite tracks of the year.
There's only one rule for song nomination:
it must have been released this year.If the track was originally released earlier but then either re-released in 2008 or re-appeared on an album in 2008 or whatever - fine.
(eg... 'That's Not My Name' by The Ting Tings was released as a single in 2007 but also appeared on their album which was released in 2008).
What I need from you:
- Your top ten tracks of 2008 - clearly marked in order. No need to include any blurb, but if you're nominating anything
really obscure, then a few pointers on where to find it would be nice...
I'll keep everyone's choices top secret, but drop little teases from time to time. Usually, a few people reveal their lists once it's all over, anyway.
Scoring: number one will notch up 10 points, number two gets 9 and so on down to 1 point for number ten.
Tracks will also get a bonus point every time they re-appear. (Last year, that did a good job of democratising the list in favour of the popular vote).
I'm also sending this to all members of the DAA last.fm club - so, hopefully, no-one will miss it.
Let the agonising begin.
Last year, there was only a teeny margin between numbers 1 and 2. I think it'll be even more open, this year.

Monday 15th December.Gravy - as ever, Nuxaq streaming would be much appreciated.

Usual deal: ten tracks going out at 8pm on the evenings of 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st December, with a downloadable mp3* once each ten has been broadcast. Hope that's cool. Let me know where to upload the mp3s, fella...
*Podcast too, Matt.
