Careful, or we'll have a repeat of the Elite review.

So it's like space-Minecraft without the building, or what?

What you never heard of this game. Not really like minecraft. This game is silly big. The idea is you build a ship to get to centre of universe. Which will take 50 hours if you rush straight there. You can trade - explore - be a space pirate - It has a trillion planets to explore. You can even name your own planets and animals for all to see. In your whole life you never see everything in this game. It's all procedural generated.

If you're so unlikely to see other human players, how much play testing does that interaction get?

Presumably somebody will figure out how to get people set up in the same area with a bit of hackery.

Testing wise there was a video somewhere on YouTube with Sean Murray from Hello Games advising that to test areas he sent out millions of drones into the universe who were programmed to record there footage and anomaly's were found that way - which I thought was a pretty cool way of doing it.

Hello, Sean Murray from Hello Games here, working extremely hard on our game, No Man’s Sky. The game really has come together, and it’s such an incredible relief. As we sit an play it now, and as I watch playtesters every day, I can finally let myself get excited. We’re actually doing this. However, as we approached our final deadlines, we realized that some key moments needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards. I have had to make the tough choice to delay the game for a few weeks to allow us to deliver something special. After a short delay, No Man’s Sky will launch in North America on August 9, in Europe August 10, and in the UK August 12.
