Welcome to the game of the jolly ... a little somthing to say thank you for all you support and help and if your reading this online then it means that sadly you were unable to make it to the gig! ... A PC version of BE2.

HAVE A FREE GAME ... :-) 2 Versions are within the download, 1 Normal version and 1 Sickboy version

This is Beast Invaders 2 ... a almost faithful remake of Jeff's Atari 2600 hack designed and coded by OddBob0 from Retro Remakes and of course a regular poster of YakYak

This game was origionally supposed to be on a seperate project (WIP) but as Bob finished it in record time I thought well lets make it a Jolly edition and it seems to have worked well ... :-)

So, on with the game stuff then ...

From the title screen the pressing of SPACE will launch you into the main game screen

Z = FIRE, ARROW KEYS=Move, F4=toggle full / Window, ESC=END



Pretty standard Space Invader formation ... but with beasties! thus it being part 2 of ... Jeff's hack ...
You will find that the game plays as you might expect for an Invader game ... nothing too complex, keeping faithful to the idea

As you play certain new elements will appear ...

Flying Markie!

DONT SHOOT ME! (like YaK did when we were testing) for I drop plates of Curry and if you collect them you get a nice Curry Bum Bonus! ...


Sheepie Saucer

Do shoot this Sheepie Saucer! The sheep has been abducted and shooting the saucer will release the little sheepie who will for a small amount of time bounce around helping you destroy the alien invaders!







Return of the Matrix Snitch - evil little bastard!

yea... at last we have revenge! The whole tribe of snitches are here and every single one of them is running around alerting the alien hords as to your position ... RUNOVER THEM! and a satisfying death awaits them ... little fuck heads!

Enjoy ... it's a fun little blast for the PC ... :-)

Doesn't run here




I get the "RetroVision" splash logo but then an error dialogue:

"Unexpected error occurred when running the game"

1Gb RAM
ATI Radeon Excalibur 9550SE/256Mb gfx card (SM2.0)

I don't think it could be your spec Lans, My spec is less than half yours and it runs like a dream.

Its a WMP call thing (I think), my own fault for rushing the sound bits. I had an awkward feeling it might occur but crossed fingers and hoped it wouldn't

Try this fix Linkage and hopefully it should do the magicks. Just unzip into its own directory and off you go (crosses fingers again).

*entirely possible this is the "harder" build though, I've just woken up so not checked through the code beyond amending the sound bits.

I could really do with getting all the media externalised but its tedious and not entirely sure I'll have the time.
