It's patented by Nintendo, matey.

Why do you think Sega kit had the "round" D-pad, and Sony stuff has the "there's a bit missing from the middle" D-pad? And of course, both of these are patented by their respective companies, so there's little a third-party like Game Park can do.

Good luck to them (they'll need it).

I thought that they'd said the sequel to the GP32 (then called the GP64, IIRC) had been cancelled because their investors wouldn't put up the money after the GP32 failed to go mass market. Did they get more funding or get bought or something?

That looks sweet. Having an open platform is worth much more than whatever technical superiority Nintendo or Sony might have.
