This morning I heard on TV what may well have been the worst piece of commercially released music I have ever heard. Certainly the worst I've heard this year (yes, even worse than Bloc Party  ).

It is the "bonus track" (that fact alone should set alarm bells ringing) in the forthcoming Limp Bizkit Greatest Hits record (cue full on air-raid siren) - it's a angsty nu-metal style cover of The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony (RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!).

Serious bet - if you can find a worse piece of music commercially released on any major label this year - I'll give £1 to the charity of your choice.

As the Crazy Frog tune at least had a melody (and hey - everyone deep down loves the Axel F riff), it is automatically better than the Limp Bizkit song.

I haven't heard it but I honestly cannot think of anything that could possibly be worse than one of the worlds whiniest cuntbags covering a song by one of the other worlds most whiniest cuntbags. Other than that however, the worst record I have heard this year (or at least that I haven't erased from my memory to protect my sanity) is Madonna's I love New York. Wretched, wretched, wretched.

Pharrell featuring Gwen Stefani - 'Can I Have It Like That' is pretty awful, as are things created by those whiney farts with guitars or pianos who sing about drivelly crap.

An absolutely stunning piece of music completely and utterly ruined by Pharrell's ego stopping him from realising that he can't fucking rap.

If it didn't have either of them prattling over it or those curiously crap "interludes" that don't match the rest of the track then yeah, it'd be an alright bit of music.

This is quite sad to hear really, as Limp Bizkit were actually *good* once.
